Detailed Description:
This canvasback male is carved from rough hewn wood and painted as a collectible decoy, complete with leather tab for the anchor cord. The name refers to his back and sides which form a wave-like pattern resembling canvas fabric. The surface of this fellow is crackle painted in antiqued black, white and deep red. As with older decoys, this one has no eyes. Duck measures 14½ inches from beak to tail, 6 inches wide and will sit 7½ inches high on your mantle or table. |
